Well it's almost upon us again. DrupalSouth kicks off in less than a week, so if you're thinking of going, you need to hurry as there are only a few tickets left.
DrupalSouth is this year's annual South Pacific regional Drupal conference and kicks off next Friday and runs through to Sunday (14th - 16th February, 2014). This year it's being hosted in New Zealand in the wonderfully windy city of Wellington.
Myself and a colleague will be jetting over for the weekend and I'm looking forward to catching up with other Drupalers from around the world.
There's always an amazing array of speakers at DrupalCons with topics for everyone, from the developers and themers, through to the more business oriented in the audience. There's a number of sessions looking forward to the next major release of the platform, Drupal 8. The sessions will be headlined by two of the project leads for Drupal 8, John Albin and Larry Garfield who'll be giving their view from the trenches - make sure you don't miss them.
For those of you who can't make it, the organisers usually record the sessions and make the recordings freely available. Here are some great sessions from last year’s DrupalCon, held in Sydney Australia to give you an idea of what you're missing. Hope this whets your appetite to come along to a 'Con and become part of the growing worldwide Drupal community.
Hope to see you there.
