Well Drupal South 2014 is over and I believe a good time was had by all. New Zealand put on some great weather and the New Zealanders showed great hospitality. It was a wonderfully warm Wellington that greeted us for the weekend.
The event was held at the impressive Te Papa Museum, right on the Wellington waterfront. As usual at Drupal conferences, there was a range of local and international speakers, from an impressive array of backgrounds. As well as audience members who'd flown in from all over the world.
I attended a mix of sessions across the business, site building and the technical tracks presentations, so I could get a good cross section of ideas from the Drupal community. I'm always impressed by the range of people who freely give their up their time to present at Drupal conferences and it's motivated me to be more involved in the Drupal community. Thanks also must go to all the organisers and sponsors whose efforts leading up to and during the conference made everything run smoothly.
Also, some insider news. Future Australian and New Zealand Drupal conferences will collectively be known as Drupal South. They'll be co-operatively organised together and will share hosting of the annual event between countries. The next Drupal South conference will be held next year in Melbourne. Dates and venue to be confirmed. Hope to see you there.
