To support our ongoing growth, Glo Digital is seeking a fulltime project manager with digital agency experience to be responsible for scoping and managing selected website and mobile app design and development projects. This position is a hybrid project manager, account manager and digital producer role. It will be a contract for 6 months with the expectation to move to permanent status after that.

Job

Glo Digital is arguably Australia's premier producer of websites based on leading open source content management system, Drupal. We have developed and/or support over 100 Drupal websites and are expanding into mobile apps. This role will be based in our office in Brisbane's leafy Forest Lake, with stunning water views and a pleasant office environment.

Broadly, the role involves scoping and managing projects, and managing clients and their expectations. It also incorporates continued improvement of our procedures and internal systems.

More specifically, you will define, estimate and specify projects, plan and manage resources, track and manage financials, manage quality assurance and coordinate user training. You'll be the primary client contact for all aspects of your projects. You'll document everything. You'll contribute to improving our methodology, quality procedures and administrative procedures. You’ll be given a voice in the direction of the company and will be given latitude to work on projects that interest you as opportunities arise.

To be successful in this role, you'll need an outstanding ability to listen and provide concise verbal and written responses, highly effective planning and organisational skills, and you'll give attention to detail. You'll work with a team of exceptional people, so it shouldn't be hard for you to inspire and motivate them. And when the going gets tough, we'll expect you to retain perspective and a sense of humour.

We expect you to have at least two years' experience managing web-based and/or mobile app design and development projects in a digital agency environment, ie. one in which you're working simultaneously on multiple projects for multiple clients, all at different stages with potentially different terms of reference. You'll have an excellent working knowledge of the Internet and Internet technologies. Ideally you will have had exposure to recognised project management methodologies such as Prince 2 or Agile, but experience counts for more than qualifications in this regard. CMS experience will be well regarded, particularly with Drupal.

We believe in a balanced lifestyle, so while we expect you to work hard while you're at work, we don't expect you to work long hours. Well, not all the time anyway. And we provide benefits and facilities to make your work experience comfortable and enjoyable. The salary package will be commensurate with your experience in the range $80K - $100K.

You'll be working primarily from our office, so you'll need to live within reasonable commuting distance of Forest Lake in Brisbane. Within that constraint, you'll have flexibility to work from home on occasion.

Finally, we expect you to identify with our values: passion for achieving effective outcomes for our clients; respect for our clients and staff; integrity and fairness in our dealings; quality workmanship; environmental sensitivity.

If this position interests you and you satisfy the requirements, please submit an application with a covering letter highlighting how you satisfy them. To apply, you must have a current legal right to work in Australia. No recruitment agencies please.
